This previous Saturday the Leeds Morris men were out at the Rothwell Carnival. We proceeded in the procession (as you do in a procession) with the May Queen in tow. The children then danced around the Maypole and Leeds Morris Men danced around the maypole after the Children had finished with Brigate Morris dancing alternately. Later we moved onto the main carnival event where the dancing continued. There was lots of fun stuff to do like a Punch and Judy Show and lots of local food stalls and craft stalls. There was lots of food and drink, including a Hog Roast.
Later on we danced outside the Hound and Hare before moving back to the carnival area. The weather was fantastic all day.
